Agilent Equipment Utilized to Measure Radioactivity in Japan

Tohoku University, one of Japan’s most prestigious research organizations, recently began using Agilent’s 8800 triple-quad ICP-MS, an industry-leading instrument, for research on radioisotopes, such as radioactive caesium and strontium.

Since the March 2011 tsunami and resulting nuclear accident, Agilent Japan has been an ongoing provider of equipment to several Japanese University research institutions for help in assessing the effects of environmental radiation.

The Agilent 8800 triple-quad ICP-MS is an award-winning, breakthrough analytical instrument used by laboratories and research institutions in applications ranging from environmental to semiconductor.
